This section is a compilation of answers to the questions most commonly asked by our members. If you can’t find the question you wanted to ask, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • Our organization raises awareness for Down syndrome. We help individuals with Down syndrome and their families through programs, education and services. We also work with schools and other support organizations to create an inclusive environment. For a list of specific programs and services we provide, visit our What We Do section.

  • We’re always on the lookout for individuals like you wanting to get involved. We have many opportunities for one-time and multiple event volunteers. Visit our How To Help section to find out ways to donate or volunteer.

  • We have a responsibility to our community and our donors and work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. Our financials and Year-End report are available upon request through the office.

    You can make a general donation or specify where you would like your support to go. You may be interested in helping one of our three age groups - Tiny Tots, Tween Scene, Club 21, or possibly one of our social events. If you're new to DSGO, our New Member or New Parent Outreach might fit your interest. We are always looking for support to expand our Educational and Medical Outreach. If you're unsure and would like to visit with our Executive Director or a Board of Director, please contact the office.

  • What is your organization's privacy policy?

    Our organization takes our privacy policy seriously and takes steps to protect and ensure the safety of our supporters. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our volunteers or supporters outside of our immediate organization. This policy has no exceptions.     I am new parent and just received a Down syndrome diagnosis, what do I do now?

    First and foremost, congratulations on your new baby! Finding out that you're going to have a child is a wonderful blessing and also be a little scary at the same time. We are here to provide support, answer questions and celebrate each step you and your baby take. When you're ready, reach out to us and someone from our New Parent group will happily meet with you, answer questions and help along your new journey.
